Our Story

The Hatch story started when good friends Adam Jacobs (Ex THE ICONIC Founder) and Chaz Heitner (Ex Zip Co-founder) came together to build something they were deeply passionate about.

Both founders believe that traditional hiring processes are broken and limit people from finding work that’s a good fit for them. Since founding the company, Adam and Chaz have built a team that shares their mission and are both confident they will continue to build an impactful global company for many years to come.

Pros
  • Flexible working is great.
  • Convenient CBD office.
  • New CEO seems to care.
Cons
  • Employees may feel that their compensation is not competitive, with some experiencing minimal pay raises over several years, which could lead to a sentiment of being undervalued and a desire to seek employment elsewhere.
  • There appears to be a sense of limited career advancement opportunities, as some employees report increased workloads without corresponding promotions or title changes, potentially causing frustration and a feeling of stagnation.
  • A perceived imbalance in the employer-employee relationship might be present, where employees feel the company expects much from them without offering sufficient support, benefits, or recognition in return, possibly leading to dissatisfaction and disengagement.
