Our Story

The Hatch story started when good friends Adam Jacobs (Ex THE ICONIC Founder) and Chaz Heitner (Ex Zip Co-founder) came together to build something they were deeply passionate about.

Both founders believe that traditional hiring processes are broken and limit people from finding work that’s a good fit for them. Since founding the company, Adam and Chaz have built a team that shares their mission and are both confident they will continue to build an impactful global company for many years to come.

Pros
  • Good work-life balance for FTE and leave policy
  • Great flexibility - choose your hours and work from home
  • Collaborative environment with supportive management and team
Cons
  • Employees have expressed concerns about hiring practices, feeling that roles are often filled by acquaintances of superiors rather than based on qualifications, which may lead to a sense of unfairness and questions about the integrity of the recruitment process.
  • There is a sentiment that the company's strategic direction and goals are not clearly communicated by senior management, contributing to high turnover and challenges in cross-team collaboration, which can result in a feeling of disconnection and frustration among staff.
  • Some staff feel that their individual skills and career aspirations are not adequately recognized or nurtured, citing a lack of structured learning and development programs, as well as salaries that are perceived to be below market rates, potentially leading to dissatisfaction with growth opportunities and compensation.
