About the role
Job Description
Join the team redefining how the world experiences design. Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte! We’re looking for the next generation of Canvanauts!
Canva’s 12-week, remote-friendly program runs from early December to late February, giving you the chance to work on meaningful, real-life projects from start to finish. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit our campus and experience the magic of Canva in person—consider your summer sorted.
Throughout the internship, you'll be supported by a dedicated Host and Buddy—your go-to people for guidance, support, and all the inside scoop on life at Canva.
You’ll be part of a welcoming and inclusive Early Talent community of peers that take pride in Canva’s culture of being good humans and empowering each other to achieve our big goals. Ready to kickstart your journey with us? We’d love to meet you.
Where and how you can work Our flagship campus is in Sydney, Australia. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. If you call New Zealand home, we have our Auckland co-working space too. But where you work is up to you. Whether you’re keen on office vibes, prefer the comfort of home, or like a bit of both—we support flexible working, so you can do your best work, your way.
What you’d be doing in this role As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
- Creating Fun and Impactful Social Content: Support the creation of engaging content for Canva’s social platforms. You'll turn ideas into eye-catching posts, videos, and stories that represent Canva’s voice and values.
- Staying On Top of Trends: Help identify trends across TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms. You’ll bring fresh ideas to the team that tie cultural moments back to Canva’s tools and community.
- Supporting Content Production: Assist with scripting, filming, and editing short-form videos that connect with our audience. You’ll learn how to build content that captures attention from the very first second.
- Developing Filming & Editing Skills: Use mobile apps and Canva tools to produce content. You’ll get hands-on experience filming and editing social video content.
- Collaborate with the Creative Team: Work closely with social media managers and creatives to brainstorm, refine, and deliver content. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from experienced Canvanauts and grow your creative skills.
- Be the Face of Canva (if you're keen!) Comfortable in front of the camera? You might help represent Canva on TikTok, sharing our story with energy and authenticity.
