About the role

About the role As a Social Producer at Mamamia, you'll be at the heart of our content creation engine, crafting engaging social media content that resonates with millions of women. This dynamic role puts you in charge of your own vertical across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook groups, and podcast socials, allowing you to shape conversations and connect with our community in meaningful ways. You'll have the creative freedom to pitch innovative ideas, produce captivating reels, and bring the distinctive Mamamia voice to life across platforms. If you're passionate about creating content that entertains while making a difference in women's lives, this role offers the perfect blend of creativity, purpose, and impact.

Here's some of the stuff you can expect to be doing if you join us:

  • Film, edit and distribute engaging podcast social content across multiple platforms
  • Create captivating reels optimized for Instagram and TikTok using trending music and techniques
  • Pitch socially-led content series and ideas at daily editorial meetings
  • Manage content calendars to ensure consistent posting that maximizes engagement
  • Develop, write and execute original entertainment stories across site and social
  • Own the Mamamia Entertainment EDM, writing introductions and curating content
  • Edit and commission quality content from internal and external writers
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas into content strategies

Now, a bit about you

  • You have 2-3 years' experience in a similar social media content creator role
  • You understand how to create compelling content including short-form video for Instagram and TikTok
  • You possess intermediate to advanced video editing capabilities (Adobe Premiere, Capcut, etc.)
  • You're highly organized with the ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities
  • You have strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail
  • You're passionate about podcasts, digital trends, digital media and emerging technologies
  • Experience using Hootsuite would be a fantastic bonus
