About the role

The role We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Developer to join us on a permanent basis. As a  Product Developer, you will be responsible for the creation, co-ordination and development of innovative, quality, and safe food and drink products at 7-Eleven.

As the Product Developer, you will have a clear understanding of the development process and will be the subject matter expert in their squad for food this encompasses customer centric product and packaging solutions. What you’ll be doing

  •  Develop and improve product ranges to ensure effective commercial delivery
  • Working with the customer insights team and other food resources to understand wider trends in food and lifestyle, packaging, design and ingredients
  • Travel locally to identify new trends, and integrate findings into food strategy
  • Develop, create, and source new products that meet consumer needs and expectations in conjunction with the squads
  • Work with the Squads to ensure that all new product development meets 7-Eleven standards (quality, safety, integrity) and all legal requirements
  •  Manage suppliers and ensure they have the skills and are fully trained to deliver best in class development capabilities
  • What’s in your toolkit
  • Degree level qualification preferably in food related discipline 
  • Experience in a food technology or product development role within a retail, FMCG or manufacturing environment
  • Understanding and knowledge of regulatory requirements for food safety and labelling
  •  Knowledge and understanding of stage gate product development process
  • A real passion for food with a creative mind
  • Solution focused with an eye for detail and processes
