Senior Actuarial Analyst Our Wealth Solutions team sits within Aon’s broader Human Capital Solutions business. We help our clients drive business performance and manage risk through people. You would be joining a team of +130 people who are trusted advisors to boards and management across an array of specialist areas including governance, executive and broad-based reward strategy, incentive plan design, pay equity, compensation data, analytics and insights, people analytics, talent assessment, employee benefits, well-being, wealth solutions, workers compensation and employee health & safety.

What the day will look like
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, driven Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our professional team with our broader Human Capital Solutions Practice. The Senior Actuarial Analyst is required to possess good written and oral communication skills which will continually be developing and will need to be able to exercise discretion, judgement and confidentiality. The duties involve working with consultants and more senior colleagues with the aim to provide professional and quality advice and service to clients. You will be expected to help to ensure client delivery by meeting deadlines and budgets.
This may include working with administrators to request and query data and keeping other colleagues informed if external providers cannot deliver on time. You would assist the consultants with account management, revenue generation and achievement of budgets and working closely and supervising the analysts to ensure relevant objectives can be met.
You would also be expected to train and mentor the analysts in the team as well as check calculations carried out by them. You may also include working with internal colleagues in the Human Capital Solutions team.

- A bachelor’s degree majoring in a relevant field such as actuarial studies, mathematics or finance.
- In the process of gaining actuarial qualifications, ideally having worked 1-2 years in a consulting role within the superannuation and employee benefits industry
- Proven success working in analytics type roles in the financial industry
- Understand the theory and practicalities of stochastic modelling
- Good Excel skills and strong working knowledge of MS Word and presentation software such as PowerPoint
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- The ability to work well within a team along with excellent organisation skills and the ability to work autonomously and under pressure
- Self-discipline to manage own workflow and deadlines with excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- Ability to liaise with the analysts to provide effective support, resolve issues and develop responses raised by the analysts before giving work to more senior colleagues
- To study to be RG146 compliant and keep up to date with developments in retirement, employee benefits and financial management by completing compliance training and reading relevant literature
