We are working to meet strong targets to halve emissions by 2030 and reach net zero by 2050.

About the role

This is an opportunity to join a statewide team that supports strategic and place-based coastal hazard adaptation across Victoria.

This position applies policy expertise to support Victoria's Resilient Coast program and supports a diversity of projects across Victoria. This includes supporting land managers with adaptation planning and action, working closely with rightsholders and stakeholders including coordinating an external community of practice, project managing and contributing to delivery of technical guidance documents, and coordinating reporting on State and Federally funded grants programs.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

* Knowledge, skills and experience with policy analysis and advice in one or more of the following areas is desirable: climate change; land management; marine and coastal management. * Experience undertaking engagement with stakeholders across government, industry and the community on complex policy issues is desirable. * A well-developed understanding of Victorian Government policy processes is desirable. * Tertiary qualification(s) in science, public policy, natural resources and environmental management, law or similar.

This is a fixed term position available until 31 January 2026. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
