About the role
As a Senior Associate you will work with Associate Directors and Directors within the Corporate Finance team. Your role will include supporting the financial analysis, modelling, structuring, and execution of complex large corporate and M&A financing opportunities and managing the execution of transactions. The role provides exposure to clients and banks, as well as an opportunity to understand the end-to-end origination and execution process across large corporate finance transactions.
More specifically you will:
- Focus on structuring, analysing, preparing credit submissions and modelling complex financing opportunities as part of a dedicated front office origination team
- Apply project management skills to support the delivery and execution of transactions within specified time frames
- Actively be involved in pitching, research, & client presentations
- Attend to internal procedures & compliance requirements relevant to the role including to develop proficiency with CBA’s various internal systems
- Have a strong understanding of risk considerations on transactions
- Consistently deliver first class financial modelling and credit analysis We want to hear from you if you have:
- Extensive experience in a Corporate Finance, Banking or financial analysis role in a front office origination context
- Very strong financial/credit analysis & financial modelling skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as an ability to present/speak to clients
- Sound problem solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- A Risk Mindset – All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks
- Candidates with a degree in Commerce, Finance or a related discipline and who have had experience working in financial services will be highly regarded
