In the role of Valuations Specialist – Portfolio Accounting, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in ensuring a robust end-to-end valuation process for investments in private markets, ensuring the accuracy of valuations across directly governed unlisted assets in infrastructure, property and private equity.   Working closely with HESTA’s Investment Management team, you will coordinate independent valuers and experts, monitor valuation triggers and action out-of-cycle revaluations as required. In this central role, you will represent the Portfolio Accounting team when collaborating with stakeholders across the Fund, at our custodian and administrator.   You will have the opportunity to review and enhance valuation processes for unlisted assets, coach and develop team members, ensuring valuations are recorded at fair value in a timely manner, ultimately for the benefit of our members.

About You   Essential skills and experience that are key to success in this role include:

•   Demonstrable expertise and experience with the valuation of private market investments and alternative asset classes including infrastructure, private equity and property investments. •   Experience in engaging with valuation and/or investment committees and external auditors. •   Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field. •   Post graduate or technical qualifications such as CFA, CA or CPA. •   Understanding of accounting standards related to fair value measurements  •   Strong financial modelling and analysis skills.    Benefits that matter and make a difference for our employees o   Leave for those moments that matter, an additional 6 days of leave at the end of year, up to 6 days paid volunteer leave, gender neutral paid parental leave of 20 weeks, Gender Affirmation leave, reproductive health and wellbeing leave, Cultural and Ceremonial leave.
