About the role
This role focuses on Infrastructure, IT, and combines Business Analysis with Project Management to support successful delivery outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background in both IT and construction/infrastructure, with key responsibilities including developing schedules that capture interdependencies, optimizing terminal operations, identifying improvements, and driving strategic initiatives. Close collaboration with the container park project manager and the wider team is essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scope and capture the current and proposed business model for WST
- Conduct research, data analysis, and process mapping to identify any potential impacts
- Develop and maintain process documentation where required, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process maps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new processes and procedures that align with company goals and objectives where required as a result of the site redevelopment.
- Assist in the identification and ongoing management of risks by participation in risk workshops. Manage and update the risks and issues register as required
- Develop project schedules in the chosen tool mapping interdependencies where needed. Ensure that progress is tracked in sufficient detail and with transparency to the wider project team.
- Ensure that signoffs on documentation are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with the methodology.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- 10 years of experience as a Project Manager in a similar industry and focused on construction and Infrastructure Technology projects.
- Skilled in project scheduling and project interdependency management across several work streams.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the organization’s core business process and operations ideally in the Port Operations or Logistics sector.
- Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.
- Proven experience in hands on project management and delivery associated with Technology infrastructure implementations.
- Experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
- Ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language.
- Clear understanding of product management and market placement.
- Demonstrated skills with project management software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources.
- Understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends and patterns.
