G’day, we’re Atlassian. We make tools like Jira and Trello that are used by thousands of teams worldwide. And we’re serious about creating amazing products, practices, and open work for all teams.
About the role
"Working at Atlassian Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
Join Atlassian as an intern and spend your summer with us having an impact on how millions of users collaborate and use software. We're in the business of developing software to help teams everywhere get amazing ideas on the ground and into the world. Sound like an exciting place to start your career? Apply for our Summer 2025/2026 Intern Program and kickstart your career!
Responsibilities Your future team As our Product Design intern, you will report to a manager in the Content Design team within the broader Design group. You'll work with writers, designers, developers, product managers, marketers, and support engineers to ensure that the stories we tell are consistent and create a great experience for our customers.
As part of your application, please include a link to your portfolio for our team to review. Pro Tip: When you submit your portfolio, it really helps to share in each case study a little bit about the problem you’re trying to solve, the process you followed and why, and some of the reasoning behind your design decisions. This will help the team get to know more about how you work as a designer!
This program is open to penultimate year university students with Australian or New Zealand Citizenship or Permanent Residency. The internship dates are late November 2025 to late February 2026, full-time for 12 weeks.

Meet the team
You'll join a team that is smart and very direct. We challenge each other to improve our work, learn, and ask hard questions. We're dedicated to Agile methodology and are big believers in 'lean' (which means we don't do documentation for documentation's sake). We know the importance of validating assumptions about users and use several types of testing to figure out whether we're right (or wrong). Our bottom line is improving our user's experience—no matter what.
