Mable is seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Accountant to join our finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone making their first move out of professional practice, or for an existing Financial Accountant who is looking for a broad role in a fast growing organisation. The position sits in the Corporate Finance team among another Financial Accountant, Junior Accountant and Payroll Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet and income statement including month end journals and reporting pack commentary for actuals vs budget
- Review of payroll reporting (working closely with payroll officer)
- Cashflow forecasting and analysis
- Tax reporting (BAS, FBT, Payroll tax and PAYG)
- Review of junior accountants work with particular focus on accounts payable, accruals and bank reconciliations
- Ownership of provision for doubtful debt modelling and journals
- Assist with preparation of statutory accounts and annual external audit
- Contribute to future accounting system implementation and transition from legacy systems
- Involvement in continuous improvement and represent Financial Control team on various Mable projects
- Be a subject matter expert on relevant accounting standards both current and upcoming and be able to communicate their impact to appropriate parties

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- An analytical mind
- Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships
- Commercial and business awareness
- Ability to work independently through month end procedures identifying and resolving issues
- Critical thinking
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
- A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
- Deadline-orientated
- CA or CPA qualified
- Experience using Xero, SAP, Salesforce, Databricks and Tableau are beneficial
