In this role, you will be tasked with extracting and sourcing essential data for all APRA (Australian Prudential Regulation Authority) Return work papers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. This includes gathering information from relevant internal teams as well as third-party providers, such as auditors, administrators, or investment managers, as needed. You will be responsible for preparing APRA forms, ensuring all data is accurately captured and compiled for review and approval by the Trustee. This includes meeting the required deadlines and ensuring that all forms are in line with APRA's strict regulatory standards. Additionally, you will oversee the timely lodgement of both Quarterly and Annual APRA reports, ensuring that all submissions are completed within key regulatory deadlines and in compliance with industry regulations. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines will be key to your success in this role.
Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with:
- Provide analyst support and work with the Snr Fund Accountant, Regulatory Reporting to identify and implement improvements to the APRA reporting function
- Ensure adherence to APRA reporting standards and deadlines and service level agreements
- Keep track of changes and enhancements required in APRA reporting and assist with the preparation, testing and delivery of these requirements
- Assist with other Fund Accounting activity including reconciliation of key inputs to financial statements
What you will bring:
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications in accounting eg CPA, CA preferred
- Practical experience with superannuation technology systems. Experience with Acurity will be highly regarded
- Good knowledge and comprehension of APRA reporting standards and instructions
- Strong numeracy and MS Excel skills. Familiarity analytical and reporting tools and SQL knowledge would be considered beneficial
- Ability to work effectively within a team and with external and internal clients and stakeholders
- Ability to use initiative to identify and recommend better processes to improve procedures
- Previous experience in a fund accounting or similar role within the Superannuation Industry
- Demonstrated adherence to processes and procedures to deliver quality services
