About the role

As an Analytics Associate at Velocity, your role is to act as the key analytics contact for your squad. Each squad is made up of Product Owners, Marketing and Analytics. You will provide insights and analytics to better understand the members, partners and behaviours to support critical business decisions on program construct, member experiences and partner engagement to drive business value and support the squad OKRs.

The Analytics Associate would be partnered with more senior team members to enable growth and provide support within the role.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

Insight Analytics - the ability to be curious, answer questions with the data, listen to business problems and identify solutions through your analysis and investigation into the data.

Reporting and Dashboards - where appropriate, build and publish reports that support the ongoing needs of the squad.

Squad/Stakeholder Engagement - Represent analytics in all agile ceremonies and provide analytical input during planning, design and discussions within your squad (with support from your senior team members). Listen and interpret the challenges faced by the squad and work together on solutions.

Key requirements for the role:

Technical ability - Strong/Expert SQL skills. Previous experience with data visualisation programs such as Tableau, Power BI desirable.

Experience - 2+ years' experience in an insights analytical role or equivalent. Experience with mining large datasets (utilities, banking etc). Loyalty and/or Marketing analytics experience desirable.

Skills - Highly level of data literacy and numeracy. A business partnering mindset; a strong and proactive collaborator. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Overall, a love of numbers, an inquisitive mind and a drive to solve and support for business and customer challenges.

    Create and maintain the organization’s Business Intelligence tools, and present complex data in simple, visual ways for key stakeholders
