About the role
Qantas Airways Limited, Australia's iconic airline, has been leading the skies for over 104 years. As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we are inviting an enthusiastic and talented intern to join our team for a 6 month opportunity to drive meaning change through delivery of critical efficiency initiatives within Flight Operations plus provide opportunities to research and recommend new ideas and outcomes.
These initiatives will directly impact our Flight Crew's approach to fuel conservation and operational sustainability. If you're passionate about aviation, sustainability and data-driven solutions, this is the perfect opportunity for you to make an impact.
What you'll be responsible for

Program Management and Execution
Create and execute a program including scope, budget, objectives, resourcing, and managing rituals such as standups or retros

Flight Crew Insights
Investigate cultural and psychological norms affecting fuel ordering and operational practices within the Qantas Flight Crew.

Operational Analysis
Observe flight deck activities and conduct research to identify specific techniques that improve sustainability efforts or present challenges
Skills you'll need

Academic Background
Preferably in aviation, analytics, or a related field.
- 💬
Program/Project Management
Experience in delivery of initiatives or managing a series of outcomes.
- 💬
Interest in Aviation Sustainability
A genuine interest in fuel conservation and sustainable aviation practices.
