The opportunity Pollination is looking for an Associate to join our dynamic team, located in either Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth. You will work alongside a friendly and experienced team to advise corporates, financial institutions, and governments on all aspects of the transition to climate net zero and nature-based solutions. Working as part of a team of subject matter experts, you will drive value for clients across a wide range of sectors. Responsibilities:
- Design structured solutions and best in class analysis to solve our clients most challenging issues.
- Source and process commercial, environmental, financial, and socio -economic data and leverage Pollination’s expertise to develop new insights for clients.
- Own the production of client facing materials, such as financial models, pitch decks, case studies, reports, and data presentations.
- Help clients to manage their internal engagement, including having regular contact with external stakeholders, supporting in client meetings, client contact, and communicating the conclusions of key pieces of analysis.
- Assist in the development of problem-solving strategies across client groups, including developing Pollination IP and thought leadership.
What you will bring
- Professional experience gained within a commercial, corporate or financial environment with preference for renewable energy, resources or industrial fields.
- Strong personal interest in climate change and sustainability fields.
- Exceptional consulting and relationship building skills and the ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders (management consulting experience is preferred but not essential).
- Excellent research skills including the ability to design and articulate engaging presentations to communicate complex ideas, and to produce polished reports, slide decks, and visual data or financial models.
- Financial modelling and quantitative analysis experience highly desirable, including the capability to work with a range of datasets, create relevant outputs and draw critical insights.
- Experience applying expertise in a climate or sustainability-related context is desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a global, matrix team environment.
- Ability to work to tight timelines, on multiple projects, and produce high quality outputs without compromising attention to detail.
- You'll likely have an advanced university qualification in engineering, science, technology, economics, business, mathematics, law or a closely related field, although this is not a requirement.
