About the role

How you can help make a better world of work Culture Amp is currently looking for a Payroll Specialist to join us for a 6 month FTC to lead multiple projects to support the company’s fast growth, the increasing number of employees we’re looking to hire and expand into new regions globally. You will be involved in multiple aspects of payroll for our Australian and international entities as well as leading multiple large scale projects that will ensure we are best positioned for our continued growth.  As part of this team of amazing humans, You will

  • You will play a leading role in multiple projects specifically related to our growth and payroll within overseas entities (UK primarily) 
  • Understand the processing functions for our 950+ employee base in order to initiate and lead projects.
  • Partner closely with our People & Experience and IT teams to ensure smooth execution of projects.
  • Assist the team with ad hoc payroll requests where time permits.

You have

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience processing Australian, New Zealand and UK payroll
  • Experience using ADP Payforce and strong Excel skills (VLookups, SUMifs, Pivot tables and other formulas). If you have experience with iHCM this would be a huge bonus
  • Understanding of accounting, taxation and finance concepts as it relates to payroll

  • Strong in project management skills to be able to effectively manage and lead bodies of work 
  • Highly organised with the ability to work independently, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with team members based in a different time zone (US East Coast based), and with the wider Finance team based in Melbourne.
  • Adaptable to a fast paced and changing work environment while remaining detail focused with a high level of accuracy.
  • Enthusiastic, strong work ethic and motivated to learn.

    Process payroll through banking or other software, calculating payroll amounts, and resolving payroll related inquiries

    Create and maintain the organization’s Business Intelligence tools, and present complex data in simple, visual ways for key stakeholders
