About the role
THE ICONIC Operations team is the heart of our business, busy connecting our products to our customers in the most efficient way. The Operations Development Team is made up of process engineers and specialists who drive and implement process driven step change and continuous improvement initiatives across the breadth of operations and the wider business.
Reporting to the Operations Development Manager, the Process Engineer is the subject matter expert in our Ops Development team, working to analyse both existing processes as well as Platform Partner needs to design, document and implement new solutions.
What you will do
- Love solving problems, and use data analysis and learning from others to find the best pragmatic solution for the circumstances both now and into the future.
- Responsible for researching and analysing existing operational processes, identifying process inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement and documenting processes to support training for change implementation.
- Comfortable researching the market to evaluate vendors for Partnership as well as competitors for benchmarking.
- A self-learner and who loves to stay up to date with the latest developments in continuous improvement, process engineering, logistics automation, Lean / Six Sigma process analysis, leveraging data and finding the right blend between people, processes and technology best practice.
- Produce and demonstrate quality over quantity, ensuring solutions are delivered to achieve the right outcome at the right time; while understanding when to be roughly right as opposed to being precisely wrong, and that context is key.
- Partner with relevant stakeholders to develop best practices and ensure organisational learning.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders to support their needs and goals.
- Have a safety first mindset and identify potential compliance/legal/safety issues present in our processes and work with relevant stakeholders to provide appropriate recommendations and solutions.
What we are looking for
- Experience in a similar role or have a passion for process, logistics, people, technology and bringing these all together to deliver reliable, sustainable and productive outcomes.
- A deep understanding and competency with Process Improvement, Project Management and the financial drivers of Operations and supply chain processes.
- Strong written, verbal and visual skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic knowledge of methodologies such as Agile, Lean, RCA, Theory of Constraints, Six Sigma etc
- Being agile with a continuous improvement mindset and willing to learn and share.
- Have an understanding of complex high volume fulfilment operations - in retail or fmcg supply chains.
