About the role
What’s the role?
Write and produce dynamic, accurate and engaging news content for Sky News and Sky News on WIN. You will edit and assembling vision and packages for assigned stories and breaking news, ensuring all content is error free and delivered to meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Write copy and edit vision to create engaging and accurate news content. This includes LVOs, VSVs, live crosses, overlay, supers, straps and occasionally in-house packages
- Create straps, supers and other graphic elements, using VIZ
- Cutting overlay, LVOs and grabs using the Quantel program, and loading into ENPS shelves
- Line producing rundowns from the studio control room where required
- Liaise with reporters in the field to coordinate all aspects of their live crosses
- Edit packages from the field and assemble viz elements
- Ensuring all last-minute rundown changes are communicated to the News programme producer or Supervising Producer
- Complete and comply with all News Corp and ANC policies, including ANC’s Social Media Policy, News Corp Global Standards etc.

- Sound editorial judgement
- Flexible work schedule and understanding that this is a 24/7 newsroom that may require you to work early mornings/nights and weekends
- Experience with Quantel & ENPS desirable
