About the role

McDonald’s Australia is the largest quick service restaurant operation in the country. Join our 12 month program, 16 hours per week, mainly supporting the Assistant Accountant home team, with at least 8 hours per month spent learning within the broader Finance space. You will be provided ongoing training opportunities for technical and soft skills and will get exposure to Accounts Receivable, Record-to-Report, Acquire-to-Retire, Lease Accounting, Tax, Field and Development Finance and Financial Planning & Analysis. What can you expect on a day-to-day basis?

·      Processing routine and Ad Hoc business requests

·      Compliance and governance processes 

·      Various reporting to impact business decisions 

·      Stakeholder management 

·      Balance sheet health/reconciliations  

·      Investigating and closing out bank reconciliation items  

·      Accounting for emerging topics, such as our growing digital operations 

Your keys to success:

·      Studying Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting 

·      Ability to engage with others and build effective relationships 

·      Customer-focused approach  

·      Strong communications skills 

·      Strong time management and prioritisation skills
